Gold Country Riders
A Chapter of Women On Wheels©
MEETINGS / LOCATIONS / TIMES

Our monthly meeting is held the 3rd Tuesday of each month and is a great way to get to know us.   In addition to our monthly meeting we have regular monthly rides.  We also have two annual weekend getaways (3 day weekends we call 'Flings', spring and fall), annual 'tech' day, a BBQ, a swap meet, a holiday party, and other events yet unknown this year.  We also participate in our Sponsor A&S Motorcycles events by hosting a Gold Country Riders booth and greeting new women riders.  These activities are in addition to our regular monthly and annual ride events.  We are an active group with a variety of events, but mostly we ride, a lot.

(Monthly Meeting Minutes can be found on the Events/Past Rides Page)

WHAT TIME?

The official meeting starts at 6:30pm, however many members arrive at 5:30 to order their meal.  We encourage members and visitors alike to arrive in this first hour, as there is opportunity for socializing, talking, sharing their latest riding adventures and settling in.  Meeting adjourn times vary, however usually the meetings are over between 8:00 pm and 8:30pm.

WHERE?
Our regular meeting is held on the third Tuesday of each month (see calendar for details).  Because our membership covers such a diverse area, we select our meeting location in the hope of best accommodating most members.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO FIND AT A MEETING?
The average meeting will have approximately 25+ members.  We meet at a restaurant that we hope is centrally located for our members.  (not an easy task with the range of the valley our members commute from!) Currently we are meeting at Black Bear Diner, 2700 El Centro Road, Sacramento, CA 95833  (916) 644-2327

Talk and Tell
Before and after the meeting you'll find that we enjoy talking about our bikes, our last ride, and re-living the monthly ride by sharing sights seen along the route.  Riding enthusiasm is spilling out of us, we'll be swapping bike tales and planning rides among members, above and beyond the official monthly ride.

Greet You
When new members are in attendance, we take the opportunity to do a round table introduction of ourselves to you.  We tell you what we ride, how long we've been riding and what area we live in (so you can search out those who live close to you).  We encourage you to share what you ride, but only if you'd feel comfortable doing so.

Agenda
Our agenda cover reports of monthly activities, to include the past monthly ride, the latest 'Fling' (3 day ride getaway) old business and new business.   Forward planning covers upcoming event coordination, participation in national 'Women on Wheels' events, future ride leaders information, etc.   We are motorcycle and riding centric, with a heavy dose of fun and fellowship thrown in.  Our Agenda usually includes a safety coordinator speaker.
